Lace Blouse

Lace Blouse

Lace Blouse is a simple, easy-to-knit blouse that can be worn alone or over a camisole, such as Cotton Camisole

The blouse has been knitted in a 4ply cotton. It has a garter stitch band at the hem then the body is knitted in a lacey stitch that is easy to follow. The short, capped sleeves are knitted as part of the body. Finally, a lace edging is knitted and sewn onto the body.

Yarn: The blouse was originally knitted using Rowan 4ply cotton (170m/186yds per 50g) but this has been discontinued, so a good substitute would be their Summerlite 4ply cotton (100% cotton 175m/191yds per 50g) or any cotton with a similar meterage/yardage.

Sizes & yarn quantities: The pattern gives instructions for sizes 32 – 40ins/81-102cms bust. The blouse needs 5, 5, 6, 6, 7 balls of yarn

Tension: 22sts & 38 rows to 4ins/10cms over pattern using 3.25mm (US 3) needles

Needles etc: pair each of 2.75mm (US 2), 3mm (US 2) & 3.25mm (US 3) knitting needles. Plus 7 x 12mm buttons
