Following on from the previous Somerville post – the Geometric jumper, featured on the cover of February’s Simply Knitting, came from the same batch of designs inspired by fashions of the early 20th century.

I’ve got a wonderful knitting pattern from the 1920s that uses geometric fair-isle patterns, so I decided to use the simplest of these. Hopefully, even a beginner to colourwork will be able to work the 4 stitch square pattern.
