I’ve always been a fan of Erika Knight’s stylish knitwear designs, so I was delighted when she produced a range of yarns. Her choice of subtle colours are wonderful and her yarns feel gorgeous – see my designs Cicely and Somerville.

When Erika asked me to design for her Studio Linen yarn I was thinking along the lines of my Beaded Top from A Handknit Romance, using glass beads not just as decoration, but also to add weight and enhance the lovely drape of the yarn.
For this gorgeous deep teal colour (Neo) I’ve used a mix of roughly 1000 blue/green/clear glass seed beads from G.J.Beads, but knitters can be creative with the colours they use.
