Danbury waistcoat was originally published in The Knitter magazine in 2021.

It was only recently that I looked at the original sample, and realised that the breast pocket – shown in my original design – was missing! As I like to knit the samples myself, it was probably a case of rushing to meet a deadline, and forgetting to add the final pocket.

To my eye, it is a glaring omission, so I have now rectified it with a ‘fake’ pocket. In fact all pockets on the waistcoat are for purely decorative purposes. I felt that the neat line of the waistcoat may be compromised with a bulky pocket lining.

However, I have added instructions for adding a pocket lining on my amended pattern.
