Amelie Hat & Scarf

This stylish hat and scarf set is really quick to knit using a chunky yarn. Both pieces are knitted with a simple lace stitch – the pattern includes both charts and written instructions. The scarf is actually knitted sideways – from long edge to long edge, and shaped at the ends. A finishing touch is added with lovely large pompoms!

Yarn:

The yarn used is Cascade Yarns Eco+ – a 100% Peruvian Highland wool

Sizes & yarn quantities:

The pattern gives instructions for one size scarf – 203cm long by 16.5cm wide, and 2 hat sizes – to fit 51-56cm & 58-61cm.

1 x 250g ball of the yarn will knit both pieces, including optional pompoms.

Tension: 13sts and 24 rows to 10cm/4ins over lace pattern using 6.5mm needles.

Needles etc: 6.5mm (US 10.5) straight & double-pointed needles; pompom makers sizes 7cm and 9cm diameter.
