Coltsfoot jumper

This elegant top is knitted in two pieces with integral sleeves; the front and back are joined at the shoulder seams. It uses a lace stitch called the Scroll Pattern, an 18-row pattern which produces a textured appearance. Combined with the bands of colour, this gives the stripes a waved effect.

Yarn:

The top was knitted using Blacker Yarns Samite silk blend which has now sadly been dicontinued. Go to Yarn Sub to find a replacement.

 

Sizes & yarn quantities:

The pattern gives instructions for sizes 29 – 57ins

5 – 7 x 100g skeins of yarn

Tension: 33sts and 40 rows to 10cm/4ins in pattern

Needles etc: 2.75mm (US 2); 3.25mm (US 3) ; 3mm (US 2) – needles
