Hampton jacket
This cropped cardi is knitted in a lovely soft DK wool using a favourite stitch – the horizontal rib. This updated version of the original pattern (Hampton Hill in The Knitter mag no.186), has a centre front fastening and extra high collar which can be worn buttoned up for extra neck warmth! Modelled with matching Hampton beanie and Mitts (separate pattern) The jumper is knitted using West Yorkshire Spinners Fleece DK, a lovely soft wool yarn which comes in lovely rich colours.

Tension 21 sts and 40 rows to 10cm over Ridge pattern using 4mm needles when lightly blocked 22 sts and 28 rows to 10cm over st st on 4mm needles. 1 repeat of 10 row patt is approx.. 2.5cm tall, lightly blocked 20 sts and 38 rows to 10cm over garter st using 4mm needles.
