Marble Hill is the latest of my designs to appear in The Knitter magazine
– Issue 131.
This is actually one of my favourite recent designs and I’m looking forward to wearing the sample!
It is knitted in Willow & Lark Nest yarn a beautifully soft DK mix of wool, cashmere and Tencel in shade Verdigris. The body is knitted in one piece, back and forth on a circular needle to the armholes. The sleeves are knitted to the underarm on double-ended needles, then the yoke is knitted in one piece, joining the body and sleeves.
Patterned yokes are very ‘on trend’ this winter, and the simple texture of this is an alternative to colour patterning.
Once again, The Knitter magazine has given my design a name that I wasn’t familiar with. However, looking online for Marble Hill House has shown it to be an English Heritage Palladian villa in Twickenham – not too far from where I live, so I think a visit is in order!
