Valda Hat & Cowl

This stylish and versatile hat and scarf set are knitted with 2 yarns in contrasting colours, and both pieces are reversible.

The very simple stitch combination makes both hat and scarf easy to knit on circular needles.

Yarn:

The yarns used are: The Fibre Company- Cumbria, a 90% wool & 10% mohair fingering weight yarn; The Yarn Collective – Rivoli, a 35% Wool,35% alpaca, 30% mulberry silk sport weight yarn.

Sizes & yarn quantities:

The pattern gives instructions for one size cowl, and 2 sizes hat, to fit 51-56cm & 58-61cm.

1x 100g skein of each yarn was used.

Tension: 20sts and 60 rnds to 10cm/4ins in ridge pattern

Needles etc: 3.75mm (US 5) circular and double-pointed needles.
